Hello everyone

I am back!

It's been a while I left this WIX Blog inactive for almost a year.

I will tell you guys what happened to me this one year.

COVID situation in Malaysia is still very bad

The COVID pandemic has happened in 2020. I was looking for a new career during that time. But due to the pandemic, I got rejected by a few companies and so I decided to stop applying for a job until recently only I started back for job hunting.

This is because after working as a Marketing Executive for 2 years, I felt that I am not growing with my career, I am not satisfied with the work I do, I am not achieving what I really want/aim. Thus, I lost my motivation for work.

Department restructured

When I lost my motivation, it is not the worst thing yet.

My department faced a position restructured in 2020.

There is a new Senior Manager of Marketing. (and I think since then the department is not in harmony anymore, some workplace political issues happened)

Besides this, my manager was shifted to another department in 2021 and the rest of us have to take all his tasks and separate among ourselves.

My initial tasks: Chinese Marketing Executive + some documentation tasks. (and learning new things while working)

My new add-on tasks: Marketing Executive + documentation (client background research, data sorting, all presentation slides for existing senior manager) + Minutes taker + Verbal and Non-verbal translation + Handle Projects +Attend classes. (and this makes me felt like I am burning out)

I really need a vacation, however, with the COVID situation now, how to travel? And what can I do to release stress? I don't have time to do update my blog as well.

Startup with my own YouTube Channel

To escape from the stress, I decided to do what I like to do after daily work.

My goal in 2020: Startup my own YouTube Channel

But I never take a step forward to achieve it.

After checking back my 2020 Bullet Journal, I saw my goal, and this came into my mind:

Halley, you should do it now! Since you have the knowledge of video production, and you have your ideas for video content, you should give yourself a try.
