[AI Tutorial] Furry Effect

Designing a poster and your target audience are kids, but you don't have any idea for the font? Follow these steps to do a furry font for your kiddy font.
Step 1: Create a new file.
Step 2: Select the Ellipse Tool and draw a circle.

Step 3: Fill the circle with the gradient colour you like.

Step 4: Ctrl+C, Ctrl+F, drag the copied circle to another side.

Step 5: Select both circles and go to Object - Blend - Blend Option.

Step 6: Select ‘Specified distance’ and click ok.

Step 7: Ctrl+Alt+B to blend the two circles.

Step 8: Select text and type any letter you want.

Step 9: Swap fill and stroke.

Step 10: Right-click and create outlines.

Step 11: Click and delete the path points that you do not need.

Step 12: Right-click at any path point and make a compound path.

Step 13: If the colour missing, click the black colour back.

Step 14: Right-click and release compound path.

Step 15: Select both

Step 16: Object - Blend - Replace Spine.

Step 17: Effect - Distort & Transform - Roughen

Step 18: Adjust the size and detail you want, click OK and you'll get a furry font.
